Product Description

Timber Corner Strainer Post Kit to Suit 180cm One Inch Netting Creosoted

For fencing projects where strength and stability are essential, our Cundy peeled timber corner strainer kits provide dependable support. Designed to manage changes in direction and high-tension points, they deliver a robust, rustic solution ideal for agricultural and rural environments.

Benefits of Timber Posts & Stock Fencing

  • Strong & Reliable: Creates a firm framework with high-tensile netting that resists pressure.
  • Cost-Effective: A more economical alternative to steel, while maintaining durability.
  • Quick to Install: Simple to set up with minimal tools, allowing for straightforward adjustments.
  • Versatile Applications: Suitable for livestock fencing, crop protection, or property demarcation.
  • Sustainably Sourced: Made from renewable timber with a smaller environmental footprint than metal.

What’s in the Kit?

This corner strainer kit includes:

  • 1 x 2.4m x 125/150mm corner strainer post
  • 2 x 2.4m x 75/100mm struts

Each post is Cundy peeled, where the bark is stripped away but the natural taper remains, leaving a rustic appearance and a varied diameter (e.g. 125/150mm). The timber is treated either with UC4 tanalisation or creosote to defend against decay, fungi, and insects.

The angled struts reinforce the corner post by preventing it from leaning or pulling inwards. Typically, the post is driven into the ground and backfilled, while the struts are best secured with quick-setting concrete such as post mix (not supplied).

Applications

This kit is designed for 180cm high fencing with one-inch mesh netting, making it ideal for:

  • Agricultural fencing for livestock
  • Farm and estate boundaries
  • Rural footpaths and trails
  • Garden, landscaping, or security fencing

Timber posts are durable, weather-resistant, and straightforward to handle, making them especially practical for use in rural or remote locations.

At First Fence, we also stock a wide range of fencing options, including stock fencing rolls, barbed wire, timber post & rail systems, and recycled plastic fencing for a sustainable alternative.
