The Apollo 1.5m High x 8.0m Wide 868 Twin Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit provides a strong, safe, and visually appealing access solution for low to medium security environments. Ideal for accommodating both pedestrians and small vehicles, this wide double leaf gate is perfectly suited to applications such as schools, parks, playgrounds, sports venues, and commercial sites where security and aesthetics are equally important.

Apollo’s 868 twin mesh system features 6mm vertical wires and 8mm horizontal wires, delivering exceptional strength, rigidity, and resistance to cutting or deformation. The wide 8.0m span makes this gate particularly suitable for service entrances, vehicle yards, and other large access points. The double leaf configuration enhances structural stability and reduces flex, particularly important for wider gate openings and wind-prone environments.

Each Apollo gate leaf is universal, allowing for left-hand or right-hand hanging, making it easy to install and configure on-site. The gate frame includes mitred corners, a hallmark of Apollo’s design quality, adding extra strength and a cleaner, more professional finish.

Manufactured from pre-galvanised steel to BS EN 10346 and finished with a high-performance polyester powder coating to BS 13438, this gate is built to last. It offers excellent resistance to corrosion, UV exposure, and daily wear. A variety of PPC RAL colour options are available, with custom colours upon request. This is ideal for matching your site’s branding or existing fencing system.

The Apollo Twin Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit is supplied with a standard sliding latch, which can be padlocked for basic security. For more advanced requirements, the gate is also compatible with digital security locks and quick-exit digital locking systems, offering enhanced access control for high-traffic or sensitive areas. The included drop bolts secure both gate leaves when closed, providing added stability and peace of mind.

For increased safety, the Apollo double leaf gates feature a triple hinge design, allowing them to meet the BS EN 12604 standard as well as the guidance set out by the DHF. 

Available with either bolt-down or dig-in posts, this gate can be installed in a variety of ground conditions. Bolt-down posts are ideal for hard surfaces like concrete, while dig-in posts are best suited for softer terrain.
