Constructed from sturdy and light weight aluminium, these gates have two leaves and are available in these heights: 1.6m, 1.8m, 2.0m and 2.2m. Aluminium is an ideal material for a product that is in permanent outdoor use, it has an innate rust-resistance as aluminium oxide is formed when it meets the air. Interestingly, it becomes stronger at lower temperatures, and it is these qualities that make it perfect for use in the UK with its changeable and often harsh, wet weather. It has a resistance to salt corrosion too, so if you are by the coast these gates are suitable.
The Aluminium Double Swing Driveway Gate has a solid, diagonal infill and is polyester powder coated in either black or grey. This coating adds to the defence against damage from general wear and tear but it also gives the gate a wonderful, top quality finish and look. Non-standard colours are also available so please get in touch to discuss the options. Some modifications can be made, for instance, if you wanted to mechanise the gate, the feet can be removed. The gates come with 4 wall-mounted hinges and 2 floor-mounted hinges. When measuring up please allow an extra 50mm for the hinges. Posts will be needed if there is nothing to attach to and can be purchased separately. The lock and handle for the gate can be purchased as an add on for an additional price and it will be fitted to the gate before delivery.
