Product Description

5m x 4m 'Hemingway' Timber Summer House

The 'Hemingway' range of Timber Summer Houses comes in three sizes from the smallest 3m x 3m, a 4m x 3m and this 5m x 4m format. All are made from high-quality European (Finnish) Spruce which is carefully sorted and dried. Spruce is very strong and durable and has a lovely, light colour that lends a bright, airiness to anything made from it. This range of summer houses are a beautiful and practical addition to a garden.

Wood has a natural beauty and visual appeal that captivates the senses and creates a connection to the environment. A timber structure in any garden space will fit in perfectly and enhance its aesthetics.

Features and Benefits

This Timber Garden House is the largest in the 'Hemingway' range but has the same format with its double doors and single window on one side. Boasting a room area of 19m² this structure will add significant extra space in your garden whether you are using it as a weather-proof storage area for garden equipment, decorating materials, the family's bicycles, or to use as a workshop for crafts and hobbies, you will be pleased with the additional space it provides.

This model of garden house measures 5m x 4m and has a height of 2.4m, it has had a single window on one side and double doors to the front, each of these is double glazed (tempered safety glass). These generous-sized windows will bring ample natural light inside the garden house, help with heat transfer and reduce outside noise. A flat roof tops this structure, adding to its clean and modern look.

The wall thickness of this summer house is 28mm making it ideal for use as a shed or for seasonal use.

Installation

The 'Hemingway' Timber Garden House comes 'flat packed' and ready to assemble in your garden. It comes with foundation beams that can be built directly onto a very stable, hard surface such as concrete or slabs. Ideally these base beams should be secured to the concrete with ground anchors (not included). The boards or logs that make up the walls fix together in a horizontal interlocking manner (see assembly guide) and are secured with wood pins and screws.

Anyone with some construction skills or a competent DIY-er will find this relatively simple to build and it comes with full assembly instructions on delivery. The structure will need staining or painting within a month of installation. You may also need a spirit level, tape measure, power drill/screwdriver and a rubber mallet to gently manipulate the wall beams into place.

First Fence has a range of timber buildings for you to choose from so why not take a look and transform your garden into additional room?
