Product Description

3m x 3m Dickens Timber Summer House

A wooden garden building is no longer just regarded as somewhere to store your old garden tools and unused gym equipment or bikes. People's work and lifestyles have changed, and extra space is very desirable, so this kind of outdoor building can be refashioned into an oasis of calm for yoga, meditation or reading, for an additional play area so children can enjoy some fresh air but be safe, into a crafting and hobby workshop, somewhere to work or study or to just make a summer outdoor living space. It could also be transformed into a functional home gym.

Size and positioning are some of the main considerations when looking into this type of building. The size of your backyard or garden will very much determine the garden shed, house, summer house or office you choose, and if selecting a timber structure, you will need to maintain access to all four sides so you can repaint or treat it. Wood is the popular and traditional choice with its natural and warm look and will always work well in a garden area.

Features & Benefits

The Dickens Log Cabin is ideal for a medium garden space measuring 3m x 3m with an overall height of 2.4m, so planning permission is not required. It is manufactured from carefully dried and sorted high-quality Finnish Spruce with a wall log thickness of 44mm. Spruce is known for its strength, durability and straight grain patterns, and it is a sustainable building material; it grows relatively quickly and is easily sawn, planed and shaped.

The Dickens Garden Room comes as a flat-pack style and will require installation. Each house comes with foundation beams, and it is advisable to have a solid, level base of concrete or concrete slabs to erect the structure onto.

The horizontal log boards are easy to fit with their interlocking design. This design provides structural stability and enhances the visual appeal, adding a clean and modern look to your garden space. This self-assembly structure has been crafted with care and precision and combines functionality with a touch of natural beauty.

Installation

Installation is quite straightforward with some basic construction skills, and the house comes with a guide to ensure a hassle-free process. You may also need a spirit level, tape measure, power drill/screwdriver and a rubber mallet to gently manipulate the wall beams into place

This model comes with 18mm floorboards and roof boards. It has double doors on the front and two single windows, one on each side of the door. All doors and windows are double glazed and will bring plenty of natural light to the interior.

The cabin will need painting or treating within 5 weeks of erection. Additionally, it is recommended that wooden structures are treated or stained yearly as wood is susceptible to the harsh effects of rain, wind and sunlight.
