The Apollo® 1.8m High x 10.0m Wide 358 Prison Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit delivers the ideal solution for sites that need wide, secure access without compromising on visual appeal or durability. With a combined gate width of 10.0 metres (each leaf measuring 5.0m), this gate is perfect for high-traffic areas, especially those requiring clearance for large vehicles such as delivery lorries, plant machinery, or emergency service vehicles.
High-Strength Mesh for Security and Visibility
Constructed with the highly regarded 358 wire mesh, this gate features steel wires that are closely spaced to create a strong, tamper-resistant barrier. The tight mesh design makes it incredibly difficult to climb or cut through, offering peace of mind in public and commercial settings.
At the same time, the open structure maintains clear visibility and airflow, an essential feature for environments where surveillance, safety, or a welcoming appearance are priorities.
Built to Withstand the Elements
Manufactured from pre-galvanised steel per BS EN 10346, the Apollo gate offers excellent corrosion resistance. It’s then coated with a durable polyester powder finish (to BS 13438), giving the gate an additional layer of weather protection and a clean, consistent appearance.
A wide variety of RAL colour options are available, with custom finishes offered to match your fencing system or corporate branding.
Reinforced Frame for Structural Integrity
Each gate leaf is engineered for strength, using a mitred corner design that enhances rigidity, particularly important for wide-span gates like this. The triple hinge system ensures that even in the event of hinge failure, the gate remains supported, meeting BS EN 12604 and DHF safety guidelines for added assurance.
Flexible and Secure Operation
This gate kit includes everything you need to manage access securely and effectively:
- A sliding latch, which can be padlocked or upgraded with digital access control or panic-release systems, depending on your security needs
- Drop bolts for securing each gate leaf in either the open or closed position
- Universal hanging configuration, allowing leaves to be fitted as either left- or right-handed during installation
You also have the option to choose between bolt-down posts for hard surfaces or dig-in posts for softer ground conditions.
Please note that post mix and anchor bolts are not included and should be purchased separately, depending on your installation type.
