3.0m High x 3.0m Wide EchoAbsorb Absorbent Acoustic Fencing Kit
Please note that this kit does not include any fixings; you will need 64mm stainless steel nails compatible with your nail gun and two M10 x 150mm coach screws per rail.
Please be aware that we do not recommend bolting down your Acoustic Fencing. For the most secure installation, we advise digging in your Acoustic Fencing to help ensure site safety and wind loading.

Excessive noise, or sound intrusion, can interfere with communication and leisure activities and, in severe cases, may contribute to hearing damage or mental health concerns. Timber barriers excel at both absorbing and reflecting sound, making them highly effective for lowering noise levels in a wide range of environments.
The 3.0m x 3.0m EchoAbsorb Acoustic Fencing Kit is available either as a loose kit for straightforward on-site assembly or as pre-assembled panels. Known for their versatility, these kits are ideal for residential, commercial, industrial, educational, and healthcare applications.
Features and Benefits
The EchoAbsorb Acoustic Fencing Kit is a dual-function environmental noise barrier designed to both absorb and reflect sound waves. The panels feature a two-part construction: one face is reflective, comprised of vertical sawn timber boards, while the reverse face is absorptive, containing a layer of high-density Rockwool behind a protective membrane.
This design is effective for reducing noise from sources such as road traffic, construction, and industrial activity. It is a suitable solution for applications in residential, commercial, and transport sectors where noise mitigation is required.
Key Specifications
Acoustic Performance: The system has been independently tested by Salford University. It is certified to meet Highways England standard BS EN 1793 (Road Traffic Noise Reducing Devices) and complies with durability standards BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2.
Material Construction: Manufactured from FSC-certified timber that is pressure-treated to UC4 Tanalised specification. The timber is surface-incised to maximise preservative penetration, making it suitable for ground contact.
Service Life: The fencing is designed to be maintenance-free and has a manufacturer-specified 30-year desired service life, subject to correct installation and site conditions.
Finish and Function: The timber has a natural pale green finish, which can be painted or stained with a breathable product. The solid panel construction also provides a high degree of visual privacy as an alternative to industrial-style fencing.
Kit and Installation Information
Kit Contents: Each loose kit contains all components required to assemble one 3.0m high x 3.0m wide fencing bay. This includes: EchoAbsorb Straight Boards, a Gravel Board, Capping and Counter Rails, Horizontal Rails, and Cover Strips.
Post Installation: The system requires a dig-in post installation. It is compatible with both timber posts and galvanised steel posts, which are available separately from First Fence. Steel posts are supplied with wooden wedges for installation.
Site Prerequisites: The intended fence line must be cleared of all vegetation. Panels should not be installed in locations where they may be subject to standing water. A structural engineer must be consulted for wind loading suitability at a specific location.
Our EchoAbsorb Panels are available in heights from 1.8m to 10.0m and also in a 2.4m width format.
