The AcoustiGuard® SR1 (A1) Gate Kit is a high-security acoustic gate solution developed for sites where noise mitigation and certified security are both critical. This compact 1.2m wide, 2.0m high single leaf gate is part of the wider AcoustiGuard® range and is specifically engineered for entry points that demand discreet physical protection without compromising on acoustic performance.
Independently certified to LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) and tested to BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2, this gate provides a tested and proven solution for reducing unauthorised access and controlling environmental noise, all within a single integrated system.
Security-rated to LPS 1175 Issue 8, Security Rating 1 (A1) by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), this gate has been tested to resist attacks using opportunistic hand tools found in Toolset A. As part of a secure perimeter system, this single leaf gate serves as a critical access point that maintains continuity of the overall LPS-rated boundary.
The gate is supplied fully assembled for lifting, with SR1-compliant hardware including tamper-resistant hinges and shear-nut fastenings, ensuring it meets the physical attack resistance requirements specified by LPCB. Its integrated design and robust construction make it suitable for commercial, infrastructure, and public sector sites requiring certified levels of protection.
Alongside security, the AcoustiGuard® range also provides tested acoustic benefits. This gate complies with both BS EN 1794-1 (structural performance) and BS EN 1794-2 (acoustic attenuation), supporting its use in environments that demand reduced noise transmission.
Its timber-clad face comprises tanalised UC4 acoustic boards, carefully fitted to reduce the passage of environmental noise such as traffic, machinery, or crowd activity. Whether part of a larger acoustic boundary or used as a standalone noise-reducing gate, it supports local authority and planning requirements relating to noise control near residential, commercial, or infrastructure areas.
Constructed from hot dip galvanised steel to ISO 1461, the gate frame delivers long-term corrosion resistance and strength for permanent outdoor use. The steel frame is precision-welded and housed within 100 x 100 mm x 3 mm box section posts, offering strength suitable for a compact single gate leaf.
The gate is finished in a galvanised-only coating, offering a clean, low-maintenance finish that can be overpainted on-site if required. The UC4 treated timber cladding resists rot, weathering, and impact, making it ideal for use in harsh or exposed environments.
Every gate is supplied with SR1-rated fixings, hardware, and hinges, and is configured as right-hand hung when viewed from outside the secure area. A 50mm ground clearance is included in the design to accommodate site conditions and allow for gate movement without dragging.
To maintain LPS 1175 certification, the gate must be installed using concreted dig-in posts as per the provided certified foundation details. No substitutions or alterations to post size or foundation method should be made. All supplied components, including eyebolt hinges and shear-nut security fixings, must be installed exactly as outlined in the product-specific installation drawings.
This ensures not only structural stability but also full compliance with the LPCB test conditions under which the product was certified. As such, the gate is an ideal match for sites that require both verified performance and a consistent installation methodology.
This 2.0m high x 1.2m wide pedestrian access gate is best suited to environments such as:
The gate can be integrated into a wider AcoustiGuard® fencing system or used as a secure standalone access point.
