These heavy-duty plastic Grit or Salt bins come in a variety of sizes, are manufactured from prime UV stabilised polyethylene and are designed specifically to contain grit/salt for use during the very cold weather when surfaces can freeze. The material they are made from makes them a very solid and heavy-duty product that is protected from corrosion, is weather-proof and resistant to harsh weather conditions and temperatures. The UV-stabilised polyethylene prevents the grit bin from cracking or breaking down due to the action of the UV rays of the sun.
This range of outdoor grit bins is designed to be stackable, which makes for easy transportation and storage. The lids are double-skinned, which gives rigidity and strength, and are fully hinged to the base and have a full-length hinge rod to ensure there is no weakness in the joint area.
The shape allows grit to be removed with ease and sit solidly in position on a roadside, car park or private premises and not infringe the walkway.
This Grit Bin measures 750mm in length, 490mm in width and 890mm in depth and has a capacity of 200kg or 6 cubic feet.
To make sure that this is kept clean, we would suggest maintaining the item regularly by cleaning with warm, soapy water and a cloth. This product is easy to transport and can be stacked.
