2.4m x 5.0m Single Leaf Palisade Security Gate

This 2.4m x 5.0m Single Leaf Palisade Gate is designed to provide an access point for small vehicles within a Palisade Security Fencing system. By installing this type of gate you can allow vehicles like small vans, cars and forklifts to pass in and out of your site when required and effectively secure your premises when the gate is closed and locked. When opened, the palisade gate will swing as a single leaf to create a 5.0m wide driving space which is suitable for only one lane of traffic. Then when the gate is shut, it is secured with the sliding bolt which is provided in your kit. There is also a drop bolt located at the bottom of your palisade gate which secures the gate by being inserted into the ground. To add extra security and protection to your palisade fencing and gate you can request a Heavy-Duty Padlock, and this is available as a customisation option.

Although suitable for a variety of locations, this 2.4m high palisade gate is most appropriate for areas which require a high level of security and therefore, a high palisade fencing system. This gate can be assembled on different types of ground and the type of ground that you choose to construct your gate on will ultimately determine which post types will need to be used. To install this palisade gate on hard ground surfaces, Bolt Down Posts will be required. If you would like to install this gate of softer ground, you will need to use Dig-In Posts.

Features and Manufacture

This 2.4m x 5.0m Single Leaf Palisade Gate is made from steel which has undergone a cold rolling process for its manufacture. The purpose of cold rolling the steel is to make it thinner and more lightweight, yet still remain very strong. The palisade gate is also provided with a galvanised finish. This finish complies with BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standards and consists of a protective zinc coating being applied to the gate, which will then help to prevent rusting. As this type of palisade gate can experience factors like damage and corrosion over time, we offer you the option of Polyester Powder Coating. This type of finish will provide your gate with added protection from these factors, as well as transform the gate to be more colourful and aesthetically pleasing. You can request Polyester Powder Coating in the customisation section, where you will be able to choose from a range of RAL colours. In addition to offering a great deal of strength, this palisade gate also offers fantastic security for your site due to its tough to scale design. The profile of each pale that features within the gate is moulded into a ‘W’ shape. This is really effective as it helps to restrict people from gripping the pales in attempting to climb over. The top of each pale also features a particular design to not only obstruct climbing, but also to deter intruders before attempting to do so. The pale types that you can choose to feature within your palisade gate are Round, Round and Notched, Triple Pointed, Single Pointed and Flat. It is important to think about the level of safety that you require for your location as some pales are more imposing and potentially harmful than others. All of these customisation options are also available when choosing your Palisade Security Fencing System.

All 2.4m x 5.0m single leaf palisade gates will automatically feature a galvanised finish and triple pointed pales when supplied. This may be altered however, by customising your gate.

Gate Kit

When you order a 2.4m x 5.0m Single Leaf Palisade Gate you will be supplied with a kit containing all of the necessary parts and fixtures for assembling your palisade gate. Your kit will contain a drop bolt, sliding latch bolt, and gate frame, to fit into your Palisade Security Fencing System, along with fixing bolts, hinges, pales and posts. If you are using Dig-In Posts for the construction of your gate you will require Postfix cement and suitable Ground Anchor Bolts for Bolt Down Posts; however we do not provide these within our kits so you will need to buy them separately.
