This 2.0m x 2.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate can be installed into a Palisade Security Fencing system to allow the access of smaller sized vehicles like forklifts onto a site. With two gate leaves that are both 1.0m wide, this gate opens to a total width of 2.0m and can only enable a single lane of traffic through at one time. When the palisade gate is not being used, the gate leaves join together in the middle and effectively work with the rest of the security fencing structure to help guard the site. The gate is secured by a sliding latch bolt, as well as two drop bolts which rest in the ground below. A Heavy Duty Padlock may be used to lock the sliding latch bolt and this can be ordered as a customisation option.
This type of gate can be installed in many different locations and on various types of ground surfaces. The type of ground on which you choose to assemble your gate and palisade security fencing system is very significant as it will ultimately determine which gate posts will need to be used. In order to erect this gate on soft ground, you should use Dig-In posts along with Postfix cement to set them into each foundation hole. However, if you wish to erect this gate on harder ground, you should fix it down using Bolt Down posts. As this gate is 2.0m high, it is most suitable for areas which do not have any high security risks.
Offering a great amount of robustness and durability, this palisade gate is a really useful addition to your Palisade Security Fencing system. It is made from cold rolled steel and is also provided with a protective zinc coating to make it more rust-resistant. The application of this coating is called galvanisation and it successfully meets BS EN ISO 1461:2009 standards. You may also select a Polyester Powder Coating finish for your palisade gate. This will make your gate more resilient to damage and corrosion, as well as supplying colour and more visibility. We have a range of RAL Polyester Powder Coating colours for you to choose from at the top of this page.
The main function of this 2.0m x 2.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gate is to provide a high level of security to your site and this is achieved through the clever design of the gate; in particular the pales. Each pale that features within the gate’s construction has a ‘W’ shaped profile. This is very effective as it makes gripping the pales very difficult and therefore limits climbing opportunities. The top of the pales also incorporate either a Triple Pointed, Single Pointed, Round and Notched, Round or Flat style which also help to hinder climbing attempts. Pointed pale types also work as effective theft deterrents as their design is very intimidating and potentially harmful to intruders. All of these customisable options are also available when choosing your Palisade Security System.
All 2.0m x 2.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gates are supplied with Triple Pointed pales and a galvanised finish as standard. If you would like your gate to feature a Polyester Powder Coating finish or different pale types, you can make this request within the customisation section above.
All 2.0m x 2.0m Double Leaf Palisade Gates are supplied as an assembly kit. Each kit will contain the necessary gate components and the right quantities of each item, so you can ensure that you will have everything you need ready for gate construction. The only item which we do not supply within our kits is Postfix cement; therefore if this required you should purchase this as an additional item.
When placing your gate order you will be given the opportunity to customise your gate with a number of options. This means that you can specifically tailor your gate so that it meets all of your needs.
