2.0m High x 3.0m Wide EchoAbsorb Absorbent Acoustic Fencing Kit
Please note, this kit does not come with fixings. For loose kits, you will need 8 M10 x 200mm Coach Screws, 280 64mm stainless steel nails and 360 680SS staples. For assembled panels, you will need 8 M10 x 200mm Coach Screws (for timber) or 8 x M10 x 70mm Coach Bolts and nuts (for steel), and 10 64mm stainless steel nails for the capping.
Please be aware that we do not recommend bolting down your Acoustic Fencing. For the most secure results, we advise digging in to help ensure site safety and wind loading.

The EchoAbsorb Absorbent Acoustic Fencing Kit, measuring 2.0m x 3.0m, is available either in loose kit form for convenient on-site assembly or as pre-assembled panels.
Features and Benefits
The EchoAbsorb Acoustic Fencing Kit serves as a versatile noise barrier, engineered to both absorb and reflect sound. Each panel features a dual-sided design: one side is reflective, made from vertical sawn timber boards, while the opposite side is absorptive, incorporating a layer of high-density Rockwool behind a protective membrane.
This design effectively reduces noise from sources such as road traffic, construction, and industrial activity, making it an ideal solution for residential, commercial, and transport applications where noise control is essential.
Key Specifications
Acoustic Performance: The system has been independently tested by Salford University. It is certified to meet Highways England standard BS EN 1793 (Road Traffic Noise Reducing Devices) and complies with durability standards BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2.
Material Construction: Manufactured from FSC-certified timber that is pressure-treated to UC4 Tanalised specification. The timber is surface-incised to maximise preservative penetration, making it suitable for ground contact.
Service Life: The fencing is designed to be maintenance-free and has a manufacturer-specified 30-year desired service life, subject to correct installation and site conditions.
Finish and Function: The timber has a natural pale green finish, which can be painted or stained with a breathable product. The solid panel construction also provides a high degree of visual privacy as an alternative to industrial-style fencing.
Kit and Installation Information
Kit Contents: Each loose kit includes all the components needed to assemble a single 2.0m high by 3.0m wide fencing bay, comprising EchoAbsorb straight boards, a gravel board, capping and counter rails, horizontal rails, and cover strips
Post Installation: The system requires a dig-in post installation. The kit can be installed using either timber posts or galvanised steel posts, both available separately from First Fence. Steel posts come with wooden wedges to assist with installation
Site Prerequisites: Clear all vegetation along the intended fence line before installation. Panels should not be placed in areas prone to standing water. Consult a structural engineer to ensure the fence is suitable for local wind conditions.
Our EchoAbsorb Panels are available in heights from 1.8m to 10.0m and also in a 2.4m width format.
