Product Description

1m High Standard Round Flat Top Bollard

Standard Round Flat Top Bollards can be used to prevent vehicular access to pedestrianised areas or to protect businesses from aggressive vehicular attacks. Each bollard is 1m high when installed and has been constructed from high-quality galvanised steel.

What are the Standard Round Flat Top Bollards?

The Standard Round Flat Top Bollards are designed to provide a non-intimidating but incredibly robust system, which is suitable for a range of purposes. They can be used to protect businesses which may store a lot of high-value stock, such as a jewellers, from being ram-raided by would-be thieves.

They can also be used to demarcate pedestrianised areas, such as high streets, where there may have been road access previously but have been changed to allow pedestrians more room to walk and browse. These bollards can also be placed along the edges of pavements to provide protection for pedestrians or used in car parks to prevent vehicles from parking in particular areas.

Each Standard Round Flat Top Bollard has been constructed from high-quality galvanised steel; the zinc coatings on these help to protect the steel from being corroded by weathering and rust.

Are these bollards easy to install?

These Standard Round Flat Top Bollards are incredibly easy to install. Each bollard has a total length of 1.5 meters, allowing for 500mm to be dug into the ground, leaving a 1m high bollard. The hole should then be filled with post mix to secure the bollard in place.

How far apart should bollards be spaced?

Bollards are designed to prevent vehicular access in front of properties or to demarcate and prevent vehicles from accessing areas which have been pedestrianised or otherwise designated non-access. Because of this, bollards should be placed with gaps wide enough to allow access for pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair users, whilst being narrow enough to prevent access for motorised vehicles like cars. With these factors taken into account, it would be recommended that gaps between bollards be at least 1.2m to allow sufficient access.

Customise your bollards

As standard, the Standard Round Flat Top Bollards come with a galvanised finish, which gives them a silver appearance. However, it is possible to customise your bollards by choosing a Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) finish. These coatings are available in a range of RAL colours and can be used to either improve the aesthetics of your business or shop front, or to increase visibility, making pedestrians and motorists aware that bollards are in place.

The coatings also provide an additional function of providing the steel with yet another layer of protection against weathering and rust.
