The AcoustiGuard® SR1 (A1) Gate Kit offers a high-security, noise-reducing solution designed for sensitive sites requiring certified perimeter protection with acoustic performance. Developed by First Fence, this 3.0m wide single leaf gate forms part of the AcoustiGuard® range, engineered to meet rigorous physical security standards while also addressing noise pollution concerns.
Certified to LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) and tested in accordance with BS EN 1794-1 and BS EN 1794-2, this gate provides a dual-function solution that meets both security and environmental performance specifications for demanding infrastructure, commercial, and public sector applications.
This gate has been independently tested and certified by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) to LPS 1175 Issue 8, Security Rating 1 (A1). It is designed to resist unauthorised access from opportunistic attackers using basic hand tools as defined in Toolset A.
The gate is supplied fully assembled for lifting, ensuring consistent structural integrity from manufacture to installation. Featuring a welded hot dip galvanised steel frame, SR1-rated eyebolt hinges, tamper-resistant fixings, and anti-lift components, this gate forms a secure entry point within any LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) perimeter system.
Alongside its security credentials, the AcoustiGuard® range also delivers performance-tested acoustic control. Designed to comply with BS EN 1794-1 (structural requirements) and BS EN 1794-2 (noise attenuation), the timber-faced gate helps mitigate environmental noise levels from adjacent roadways, railways, industrial zones, and plant sites.
The face of the gate is clad with tanalised UC4 acoustic timber boards, which absorb and deflect sound. These boards are securely fixed within the steel frame to ensure long-term durability and acoustic performance. This makes the gate ideal for installations where meeting planning regulations or environmental noise limits is a key requirement.
This 3.0m wide gate is built with heavier post sections to support the additional weight and maintain rigidity. The hinge post is constructed from 150 x 150 mm x 5 mm steel box section, while the catch post uses a 120 x 120 mm x 4 mm profile. This provides enhanced structural stability under load and during attempted intrusion.
The frame is manufactured from hot dip galvanised steel in accordance with ISO 1461, offering superior corrosion resistance even in exposed or high-moisture environments. The gate is supplied in a galvanised-only finish, which can be left untreated or over-coated as required on site. All timber elements are treated to UC4 specification, ensuring resistance to decay and suitability for permanent external installation.
Installation is via dig-in (concrete-in) posts only, in accordance with the LPS 1175 certification. All posts must be set in concrete to the specified depth and foundation dimensions outlined in the certified gate drawings.
Each gate includes all necessary SR1-rated hardware, including eyebolt hinges, drop bolts (where required), anti-removal fixings, and M8 shear-nut fasteners. All fixings must be used as supplied to ensure compliance with the gate’s LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) rating. The standard gate configuration includes a 50 mm ground clearance, and the gate is right-hand hung when viewed from outside the secure area.
The gate integrates seamlessly into a wider AcoustiGuard® perimeter fencing system, or it can be installed as a standalone secure access point. When installed in conjunction with matching acoustic fencing panels, the result is a visually consistent, security-rated, and acoustically tested boundary line that meets the requirements of both security consultants and environmental planners.
This size, 1.8m high x 3.0m wide, offers a larger clear opening, suitable for service vehicles, maintenance access, or wide pedestrian routes, while maintaining full compliance with security and acoustic regulations.
This gate is ideal for installations in the following environments:
Where both security and sound control are essential, the AcoustiGuard® SR1 (A1) range provides a certified solution.
