A stylish, cost effective and more environmentally friendly solution to steel security railings, the 2.4m High EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Round Railing kits are a fantastic choice for creating perimeters for outdoor spaces such as parks and gardens. With a height of 2.4 metres, these railings create a deterrent for intruders who may attempt to gain access to a site via climbing. As well as being difficult to climb, each bay is strong, robust, and designed to last. Constructed from high quality steel, to our highest standards and with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating, they will also look great for years to come. To allow for quick and easy installation, each kit is supplied with a panel, post and the fixings required to attach the panel to the post.
Whilst, from a visual perspective, the EnviroRail® railings may look like a standard bay of vertical bar railings, the key difference lies in the processes used to make each bay. The construction of a standard bay of vertical bar railings may rely on the use of welding to join the components together, EnviroRail® railings use a new reduced weld construction, which reduces the amount of energy and resource intensive welding.
The revolutionary reduced weld construction used to create these railing systems use a series of custom formed and laser cut components. These components have been designed in such a way as to allow for them to create incredibly strong bonds when they are pressed together. This manufacturing process requires less energy and resources to create a railing bay and whilst there is a need for some welding, it is significantly less than a standard vertical bar railing bay.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
To allow for installation on as many ground types as possible, these EnviroRail® railing systems are available with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are designed to allow for easy installation on ground types where it is easy for holes to be dug. The dig in posts are longer than the bolt in variants, allowing for a section of the post to be placed into the hole, where it is then held securely in place with the use of post mix
Bolt down posts – The bolt down posts allow for the EnviroRail® railing systems to be installed on harder ground surfaces such as concrete, where it may not be possible for holes to be dug. These posts have a base plate which allows for ground anchor bolts to be used to secure the posts.
Each of the 2.4m High EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Railing kits includes the following:
As each kit is supplied with one post, an additional end post will be required to complete a straight line run of railings.
Each bay of 2.4m High EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Round Railings come as standard with a Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) finish. These high quality and professionally applied coatings are available in a wide range of RAL colours (lead times may apply) allowing for the creation of a bright and colourful perimeter which can help to increase visibility or be coloured to match the existing colours of an organisation. As well as providing these railings with a smooth quality finish, they also provide a layer of protection against the damaging effects of weathering or rust developing on the steel.
In the unfortunate event of the powder coated finish becoming damaged, either through accidental damage or through acts of vandalism, it is possible restore the finish and its protective properties with the use of a touch up spray can. These spray cans provide a quick to apply and even application which will repair any scratches or chips in the paintwork with ease.
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
