For fencing that’s built to last, timber corner strainer posts are a key element. Perfect for agricultural and rural projects, these kits provide the strength and durability needed where fencing lines change direction or tension is highest. With their rustic, natural finish, they combine practicality with timeless appeal.
Corner strainer posts are engineered to anchor fence lines at points where the direction changes sharply. They absorb the added strain from wire tension and keep the structure secure and upright.
This kit includes:
The posts are Cundy peeled, meaning the bark is removed while retaining the natural taper, giving each post a rustic look and a diameter that varies along its length (e.g. 150/175mm). The timber is then creosoted, protecting it against rot, fungal decay, and insect attack for long-lasting performance outdoors.
The struts brace the post diagonally against the ground to prevent leaning or movement under pressure. Strainer posts are usually driven deep into the ground and backfilled, while struts are best secured with fast-setting concrete, such as post mix (sold separately).
These kits are designed for use with 80cm–120cm high stock fencing and are suitable for:
Timber’s natural durability and ease of handling make it especially practical in outdoor and rural environments.
