What’s in the Corner Strainer Kit?
Corner strainer posts play a critical role where fencing lines turn sharply or tension levels change. This kit includes:
- 1 x 3.0m x 150/175mm corner strainer post
- 2 x 2.7m x 75/100mm struts
Each post is Cundy peeled, where the bark is removed but the natural taper remains, creating a rustic look and a varied diameter along its length (e.g. 150/175mm). The timber is treated with creosote, offering excellent protection from rot, insect attack, and fungal decay.
The struts are fitted diagonally from the post to the ground, ensuring stability and preventing leaning under strain. While strainer posts are usually driven into the ground and backfilled, the struts are best secured with fast-setting concrete, such as post mix (sold separately).
