The OVS-02GT is a microwave-based virtual loop vehicle detection sensor designed for automatic gates, barriers, and industrial doors. Positioned above ground, it detects vehicles moving at speeds between 2 and 35 km/h as they approach and come to a halt. This detection relies on a combination of microwave and ultrasonic waves, making it a viable alternative to ground loop sensors or video-based systems.

The above-ground vehicle sensor requires no civil engineering work. It utilises a combination of FMCW (microwave) and ultrasonic technology, serving as a vehicle presence and activation sensor for gates, barriers, and industrial doors. It can detect vehicles moving at speeds ranging from 2 to 35 km/h.
The vehicle sensor detects both small and large vehicles from 1.5m to 8m without requiring civil engineering work, ensuring a non-disruptive installation. It’s an ideal alternative to induction loops in challenging areas like resin driveways and public spaces. Calibration is easy, with simple adjustments for distance and sensitivity.
The OVS-02GT car sensor employs hybrid technology that combines microwave and ultrasonic sensors. Its microwave component uses FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology to detect vehicle presence, ensuring reliable operation regardless of lighting conditions, unlike video-based detection systems.
The OVS-02GT activates automatic gates, barriers, or industrial doors using relay output. It reliably detects vehicles in harsh conditions like dust, rain, and snow, and features a built-in heater for operation down to -30 degrees Celsius.
