LC100 Loop Cable - 100m Reel

Loop cables, used with loop detectors, are crucial for traffic management systems. Installed underground, they detect vehicles and, when connected to a loop detector, create an effective vehicle detection system commonly employed in traffic signal control, parking management, and automatic gate systems.

The loop cable is buried in the ground, with its ends connected to a loop detector that sends a small electric current through the loop. This current generates an electromagnetic field around the wire loop. When a vehicle passes over, the metal is detected by the loop detector, which then sends a signal to the control system.

Features and Benefits

The LC100 Loop Cables are available in a 100-metre reel and come in standard black. They feature a coil end leap Type 4A as per BS 6195 and are manufactured in the UK. The cables are made with ERP-CSP composite elastomeric insulation, which is flame retardant. They have a voltage rating of 0.3/0.5kV and a temperature rating ranging from -15°C to +90°C.

This loop cable is also available in a 500m reel.
