LC500 Loop Cable - 500m Reel

Loop cables, used in conjunction with loop detectors, are an essential component in various traffic management systems. Loop cable is installed in the ground to detect vehicles. When it is connected to a loop detector, this set up forms an effective vehicle detection system commonly used in traffic signal control, car park management, and automatic gate systems.

The loop cable is buried in the ground and connected to a loop detector that sends a small electric current through it, creating an electromagnetic field. When a vehicle passes over the loop, the metal is detected, triggering a signal to the control system.

Features and Benefits

LC500 Loop Cable comes as a 500m reel and is a standard black colour.

The coil end leap is classified as Type 4A per BS 6195 and is produced in the UK. It incorporates ERP-CSP composite elastomeric insulation, which is flame-retardant and available in standard black. The voltage rating is 0.3/0.5 kV, with an operating temperature range of -15°C to +90°C.

This product is also available as a 100m reel.
