When it comes to security fencing, there are a number of different options available. One popular option is the SR1 fencing system. This system is designed to provide an increased level of protection by delaying intruders against opportunistic attacks. However, there are also a number of standard security solutions that are available.

So, what is the difference?

SR1 (A1) Fencing System

The SR1 (A1) fencing system is a security fencing system that has been tested and certified to provide a level of protection against opportunistic attacks. The system is designed to delay an intruder for at least 60 seconds, giving time for a security response to be initiated.

The SR1 test is devised by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and carried out by the BRE. The test involves a number of different attacks, using a variety of tools from ‘Took Kit A’. The fencing system must successfully resist each of these attacks for at least 60 seconds in order to meet the performance criteria.

The SR1 rating is the equivalent of the LPS 1175 A1 rating. The SR1 (A1) rating is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as schools, hospitals, and commercial premises.

Standard Security Fencing Solution

A standard security fencing solution is a system that has not been tested and certified to a specific standard. These solutions can very in terms of their security level, but can still add protection to your premises.

Standard fencing security solutions are often used in areas such as; residential properties. However, alternative applications may require additional security.
