Temporary Fencing is used extensively across industries such as construction and event management as it is light weight and easy to assemble and makes an easy job of boundary demarcation, crowd management and creating safe working zones.
A project that is taking place in an area that is exposed may be subject to the adverse effects of the wind so the appropriate stabilisation of temporary fencing is essential. If a panel falls over then the rest of the run will likely follow. This clearly poses a site hazard, but also staff must waste valuable time re-erecting downed panels; a temporary fencing run needs to be able to withstand damaging weather conditions whatever the time of year.
There are various ways of doing this ranging from piling rubble (not recommended!) to braces, ground spikes and strut systems. Stabilisers and block trays give support and can have extra weight added so they are dependable and robust.
The Windbreaker Bottom Tube is used with Windbreaker Stabiliser and Zero-Trip Foot and creates the Windbreaker Stabiliser System. Ballast or additional weights can be added to the block tray and will make the panel much more secure. It is suggested that one stabilising block tray be used for every other panel, however if there are particularly strong winds you may consider one for each panel.
First Fence has a range of accessory products for use with temporary fencing and a wide range of panels too, so please take a look.
