Straight Mesh Post Extension With X Sleeve
If your premises requires higher levels of security and you feel your current mesh fencing doesn't give you this, a simple way to increase it is by adding razor or barbed wire to its top line. These extensions fit into the open box section of a mesh post and the security wire can be attached to them. They are a simple and cost-effective way of improving the security level of a mesh-fenced site.
The Straight Mesh Post Extension with X Sleeve has been designed to be used with a 60 x 60mm box section fencing post and they are to fit security wire to. If you have a pre-existing fencing run these can be retrofitted to them, or they can be added to a new plan at the installation stage.
These extensions come in three varieties, the straight, cranked, and y-shaped design.
This Straight Post Extension is 605mm in total length. The main part of the structure measures 500mm, with a narrower x-shaped insert segment that fits into the open box section; this measures 105mm. The Post Extension is secured to the post with a bolt, there is a 12mm clearance for the fixings. Along the length of the Post Extension are 3 drilled holes which are for the tension wires that the security wire attaches to.
Manufactured from pre-galvanised steel, this product is available with a green polyester powder coating or as a standard pre-galvanised version. Powder coating gives an additional protective layer that looks good too. Any product that is in permanent outdoor use will be at risk of damage so anything you can do to minimise this will help extend its useful life.
The Post Extension requires M8 or M10 bolts to attach it to the mesh post, these are not included with the product.
Ribbed Inserts (60 x 60mm) will be required for the open end of the post so that water doesn't gather inside.
