The ProFence® 1.8m x 2.0m wide SR1 (A1) LPS 1175 868 Mesh Double Leaf Gate Kit is part of First Fence's top-tier security-rated products, which is a significant enhancement to the existing, comprehensive array of security solutions.
Understanding SR1 (A1) Rated Security Fencing
The ProFence® range has been exhaustively tested and accredited under the exacting SR1 (A1) LPS 1175 standards. This accreditation denotes a one-minute delay against a hostile attack using a variety of hand tools that belong to Toolkit A. These can include glass cutters, spanners and pliers, all of which are small and can be easily hidden by a would-be intruder looking for a site of value to break into. The crucial sixty seconds could be enough time for the on-site security staff to recognise a perimeter breach on CCTV and to launch a decisive reaction.
First Fence's ProFence® product range is available in both 868 and 358 mesh and includes fencing kits and single and double leaf gates available in a wide range of heights and widths.

Features and Benefits
This gate has been designed with two leaves which gives greater flexibility in how much access to allow pedestrians traffic at a given time. Fabricated from high-quality steel, which is hot dip galvanised, compliant to ISO 1461. The gate is further protected with a polyester powder coating in a range of colours that can be selected. This dual coating effects a greater level of protection against wear and tear, damage, rust and corrosion.
Included in the kit are two gate leaves, two hinge gate posts, two drop bolts, six adjustable gate eyes and ribbed inserts for the gate frame and posts. The gate leaves have an infill of 868 mesh which is a very recognisable security mesh form. The vertical wire is 6mm thick and the horizontals are 8mm, which gives the mesh its name.
This type of mesh is very sturdy and difficult to cut and is particularly suited for use in situations where clear visibility on a perimeter is incredibly important, or for integrating with CCTV systems.
This gate kit features six adjustable gates eyes; in the rare event that even a single hinge fails, the gate will remain secure and prevent accidents, damage or injury. Each adjustable gate eye bolt is firmly fastened to the rear with a snap off nut which ensures that post-installation removal is unlikely.
The two drop bolts add extra security to your gate and enable it to be firmly held open or closed.
Easy Installation
The SR1 rated gate kit from First Fence is available in both a dig-in and bolt-down format, which will accommodate most ground conditions. It is important to assess the ground you plan to install this onto, if it is grass or other soft ground you will require the dig-in option, whereas concrete and other hard ground types will require bolt down posts.
Ground suitability – this gate should be assembled with the right type of posts for the ground that it will stand upon. Grass and other soft ground types require Dig-In Posts, whereas concrete and other hard ground types will require Bolt Down Posts.
The bolt down kit comes with the essential ground anchor bolts, if you choose the dig in kit, you will need to add Post Mix to your order. We recommend three bags per post. You should use either C20 or C25 post mix.
This gate would be suitable for both pedestrian access and for small vehicles such as forklifts. The sliding latch bolt keeps the leaves in the closed position and the drop bolts keep the leaves secured. One or both leaves can be opened depending on your needs.
A recommended range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
