Open Box Beam 4.8m - Galvanised
The 4.8m open box beams have been designed as a heavy duty Armco barrier, able to withstand much higher impact forces than its corrugated rail counterpart. This makes these barriers an ideal choice for sites such as warehouses or carparks where protecting staff, pedestrians or expensive equipment from impacts from heavy vehicles such as forklifts or lorries is of the utmost importance.
Each box beam barrier has been constructed from high quality galvanised steel, making them suitable for installation in both indoor and outdoor environments. This protective zinc coating helps to protect the steel against the effects of weathering and rust.
Much like the corrugated Armco rails, these 4.8m beams can be attached to our range of RSJ and ‘Z’ posts. Installation of these barriers is slightly different to the corrugated rails but is still a quick and easy process to create walkways and protective areas. In order to connect these rails, fishplates are required along with lap bolts. These require the use of fewer lap bolts, with only 6 required as opposed to 8 for corrugated Armco railings.
These strong and sturdy box beams are suitable for installation in a range of sites and locations such as:

- Construction sites
- Industrial sites
For increased visibility, these rails are also available with a yellow powder coated finish. Not only does this help to increase awareness of the barriers to drivers and pedestrians, but the coating also provides an additional protective layer against weathering and rust.
