Class A Sound Absorption Barrier 2.0m x 1.2m
A Sound Absorption Barrier acts by restricting maximum noise at all frequencies and absorbing sound energy, rather than reflecting it. This is what makes this product stand out from others, as they generally just reflect noise.
Building sites, the use of tools like pneumatic drills and large outdoor events for example, all generate a lot of noise, and by using this kind of barrier you will protect workers, members of the public or neighbours from the negative effects of this kind of pollution. This type of barrier will muffle the noise.
This product is a Class A Sound Absorber and has been laboratory tested. Class A is the highest ranking available for this kind of barrier. They have an aw of 0.9 (the range is between 0 and 1 with 1 being the highest), and an NRC rating of 0.95 meaning that 95% of sound in a space is absorbed with the other 5% reflected.
The Sound Absorption Barrier comes with a heavy-duty PVC back, a sound absorbing core of high density recycled polyester that is water resistant, and has a glass cloth face that is developed to trap as much sound as possible. This barrier has 11 brass eyelets and is stitched together using a UV stable, water resistant and rot proof high tensile nylon. It is also fire resistant.
Acoustic Barriers are simple to install and can be attached to temporary fencing panels or scaffolding with the use of cable ties or bungee cords, or the Acoustic Barrier Fixing Kit. Installation time is speedier than many other barriers, it simply needs hooking to the top of your temporary fencing and attached using a tie or clip. They are also reusable, they can be rolled up and are easy to store. The recycled core means this is a sustainable and eco-friendly product.
