On housebuilding sites accidental damage to kerbs is a problem and because of this the housebuilder may allow finances for replacing between 50-100% of the kerbs built on site before the whole project is completed. Kerbs and pavements are often put in place very early in the building works which makes them susceptible to damage from site traffic.
Removing and replacing damaged kerbs is expensive and laborious. The KerbGuard system of environmentally friendly kerb protectors is an ideal solution to this issue.
KerbGuards are a reusable kerb protector manufactured from a heavy-duty, recycled PVC. When positioned in place over the kerbs they help to absorb impact forces from collisions from vehicles and protect them from being cracked and broken.
They are simply fixed in position by haunching in with temporary tarmac.
This KerbGuard is 900mm wide, 160mm high and 200mm deep and features an anti-slip tread pattern on the top side. Available in hi-vis yellow and black and also in two lengths; 900mm for straight runs and 400mm for going around curves and bends. The KerbGuard has a sturdy 35mm thick impact-absorbing top section. Spacers can be used to assist installation where the pavement is top-coated.
