Accidental kerb damage is a problem on housebuilding sites. In light of this a housebuilder may allocate finances for replacing the majority of the kerbs built on site before the whole build is finished. Kerbs and pavements are generally sited considerably early on in the construction process which makes them vulnerable to accidental damage from site traffic.
The removal and replacement of broken kerbs is costly and uses up the valuable time of people working on the project. The KerbGuard system of environmentally friendly kerb protectors is the perfect remedy to this concern.
KerbGuards are an eco-friendly kerb defence system produced out of a heavy-duty, recycled PVC (100% recycled and recyclable). When placed over the kerbs they will suppress any impact force from vehicle collisions and protect the kerb from being smashed and broken.
They are easy to fix in place by haunching in with some temporary tarmac.
This KerbGuard is 900mm wide, 160mm high and 200mm deep and features an anti-slip tread pattern on the top side. Available in hi-vis yellow and black and also in two lengths; 900mm for straight runs and 400mm for going around curves and bends. The KerbGuard has a sturdy 35mm thick impact-absorbing top section. Spacers can be used to assist installation where the pavement is top-coated.
