Product Description

Pack of 100 Green Treated Railway Sleepers | 2400mm x 100mm x 200mm

Our Pack of 100 Green Treated Railway Sleepers provides a practical and cost-effective solution for larger gardening, landscaping and construction projects.

Originally used to support railway tracks, timber sleepers are now a popular landscaping product with a wide range of uses. From raised flower beds and vegetable patches to borders, walls, steps and garden furniture, these versatile sleepers can add structure and a natural finish to outdoor spaces.

Pressure-Treated Grade 3 Timber

Our Grade 3 Green Railway Sleepers are manufactured from natural timber with a pressure-treated finish to help protect against rot and weathering.

The treatment conforms to BS EN 351-1, helping extend the lifespan of the timber while maintaining its natural appearance and texture.

Key benefits include:

  • Versatile for a wide range of projects
  • Pressure-treated to BS EN 351-1
  • Natural timber texture and appearance
  • Treated finish helps reduce rot
  • Available individually or in packs of 100
  • Can be cut to size and shaped to suit your project

A brown treated finish is also available if you prefer a different look for your garden or landscaping project.

Standard Railway Sleeper Dimensions

Each sleeper measures:

  • Length: 2400mm
  • Height: 100mm
  • Width: 200mm

These standard dimensions make the sleepers suitable for a wide range of landscaping applications. They can also be cut down or shaped to suit your requirements, whether you're creating shorter sections, angled borders or bespoke designs.

Easy to Install

Installing Railway Sleepers is straightforward, although the method will depend on your project and chosen design.

Start by ensuring the installation area is clear and level. A spirit level can help achieve an even finish.

The sleepers can be laid directly onto the ground or partially buried for additional stability. Depending on the application, landscaping screws, steel pins or wooden spikes can be used to secure the sleepers to the ground or to one another.

They can be installed on a variety of surfaces, including:

  • Soil
  • Grass
  • Concrete
  • Decking

Once installed, add the finishing touches to your project with planting, gravel or other landscaping features.

Versatile Landscaping Applications

These Green Railway Sleepers can be used for:

  • Raised flower beds
  • Vegetable patches
  • Garden borders
  • Retaining walls
  • Garden steps
  • Raised platforms
  • Garden furniture
  • Decorative landscaping features

Their natural timber appearance complements a variety of garden styles, while their ability to be cut and shaped gives you plenty of flexibility when designing your project.
