Available to purchase in various heights and widths, and as a single or double leaf, these gate kits provide a safe and suitable entry and exit point for play areas. Highlighting the paramount importance of child safety, these products are designed with an added emphasis on improving the overall aesthetics of the area.

Features and Benefits

The EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Double Leaf Gate Kit, with dimensions of 1.5m in height and 4.0m in width, provides versatile access control. This gate excels in delivering excellent entry control by allowing the operation of either one or both leaves. It is one of the wider gates available and suitable for a broader area. It is advisable to include a locking drop bolt with the double leaf format, available as an additional purchase option.

The EnviroRail® Double Gates present a fully modular and relatively lightweight solution, ensuring easy installation for a range of gate hardware. With universal handing, these gates offer on-site flexibility, eliminating the need for fixed left or right-hand specifications. The modular design allows simple on site adjustments in the case of gate movement, giving a flexibility that fixed hardware cannot match.

Produced using a more eco-conscious technique, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit sets itself apart from standard railings, making it the preferred choice for customers with a preference for reduced eco-impact during production. This innovative approach uses bespoke laser-cut parts that interlock when pressed together to form robust connections, significantly reducing the need for energy-intensive welding.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Every EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate Kit is produced from pre-galvanised steel that adheres to BS 10346 standards and is further coated with polyester powder for durability and resilience. The double-layered protection guarantees enduring functionality, offering resistance against harsh outdoor elements and maintaining its aesthetic charm for years to come.

The double-leaf gate kit comprises two hinge posts, two Play Sec Railing leaves, and six adjustable gate eyes. With three hinges per leaf, the gate remains compliant with BS 12604, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of a hinge failure. The gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, giving a fixed-axis hinge that eliminates up and down movement.

Pre-drilled holes streamline gate eye and drop bolt attachment, with included plastic plugs for unused holes, ensuring a polished appearance and preventing water build-up. Compatible with our security locks, the gate allows up to 30mm adjustment from the catch post, simplifying installation. The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Safety Compliance

The gate rails at 100mm centres prevent entrapment, while 90mm top bows avoid wrist or neck trapping. This design ensures easy supervision for parents or guardians, enhancing safety and reducing accident risks. The EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate fully complies with BS EN 1176 regulations.

The gate provides a 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, with the single leaf gate opening 90° in and out.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in a dig-in or bolt-down version, suitable for diverse environments. The dig-in variant requires the addition of Post Mix to the order, while the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
