This gate stands out through its novel and eco-friendly low-weld manufacturing method. This technique greatly reduces the need for energy-intensive welding while maintaining the same durability as traditionally welded equivalents. Every EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate Kit is crafted from quality pre-galvanised steel meeting BS 10346 standards and coated with polyester powder, ensuring longevity and resilience against harsh outdoor conditions. The dual-layer protection guarantees reliable functionality and preserves its aesthetic appeal over an extended period of use. A range of RAL colours is accessible, offering options to achieve a lively, enjoyable, and polished appearance.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
First Fence's EnviroRail® gate range offers an advanced, fully modular yet lightweight gate solution that enables swift fitting and accommodates various gate hardware. Universally handed, these gates offer on-site flexibility without fixed right or left-hand specifications, simplifying the decision-making process during installation. This modularity facilitates easy adjustments in case the gates move, providing adaptability that fixed hardware cannot offer.
The single-leaf gate kit includes a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. With three hinges, it complies with BS 12604 standards, ensuring safety even if one hinge were to fail unexpectedly. The gate hooks, fully welded to the gate post, establish a fixed-axis hinge, preventing any vertical movement.
Pre-cut holes facilitate the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, and supplied plastic plugs are included to conceal any unused holes on the gate's attacking side. The gate, designed to be compatible with security locks, provides a 30mm adjustment capability from the catch post, ensuring a simple installation process.
Safety Compliance
The gate rails are set at 100mm centers to prevent entrapment, and the top bows are 90mm to prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.
The gate offers 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening 90° in and out as a single leaf gate.
Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix needs to be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
