Cranked Barbed Wire Bracket [Chosen Style] | 1 |
Black Ribbed Insert [60 x 60mm] | 1 |
Barbed wire is an affordable security addition that enhances perimeter protection and discourages potential intruders from attempting to climb a fence. Barbed wire acts as a powerful physical deterrent, and when integrated with other security measures, it creates a robust system that transforms a sturdy fence into an even more formidable barrier. It is an extremely cost-effective enhancement for your 358 mesh fencing.
Attaching barbed wire to the top of a fence can be challenging, which is why the First Fence barbed wire bracket serves as an excellent solution.
First Fence’s mesh fencing barbed wire brackets offer a flexible and durable solution for increasing the height of your security fencing. By attaching to fence posts, they provide a stable bracket for barbed wire installation, adding crucial extra security.
The mesh fencing extensions are specifically designed to fit First Fence's 60 x 60mm x 2mm fence posts. They include a sleeve that seamlessly inserts into the open box section, increasing the height by up to 700mm, depending on the design. Crafted from premium, weather-resistant materials, these brackets ensure durability and long-lasting performance.
The mesh post bracket is an ideal companion for 868 twin mesh, V-mesh, and 358 mesh fencing. Renowned for its anti-climb properties, 358 mesh becomes even more secure when paired with barbed wire, making unauthorised access exceptionally difficult. Barbed wire serves as a clear indicator of enhanced security. Its prominent visibility reinforces the perimeter, helping to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorised entry. This is especially crucial for locations such as warehouses, storage yards, and sensitive government or military facilities.
Mesh extensions for fencing improve security by making it more difficult for intruders to climb over. These extension brackets are commonly used in high-security areas such as industrial zones, correctional facilities, airports, and other locations that demand heightened protection.
A wide variety of security fence toppers is available, including barbed wire, razor wire, rotating spikes, anti-climb spikes, and sensor-activated options. Ensuring safe and secure installation is crucial when adding these products to your fencing. First Fence is proud to introduce its new range of mesh post brackets for barbed wire, specifically designed to complement First Fence’s 60 x 60mm x 2mm box section steel fencing posts.
First Fence offers post extensions in three distinct styles: straight, cranked, and Y-shaped.
Each style is also available as a corner, intermediate or end version, enabling you to add to any length or direction of fencing. The corner and end posts are a 'lugged' design. The intermediate comes as a lugged or holed version.
Intermediate Holed Barbed Wire Brackets
This product is for use with intermediate posts throughout the fencing run. It has 3 holes on two opposite faces for threading through line wire.
Intermediate Lugged Barbed Wire Brackets
This is also for use with intermediate posts and has lugs for tensioning barbed wire.
Corner Lugged Barbed Wire Brackets
The post extender is for when there is a change in direction of your fencing. This has 3 lugs on two adjacent faces (6 in total).
End Lugged Barbed Wire Brackets
This post extender is designed for your beginning and end posts. It features 3 lugs which can be used for tensioning the end of the barbed wire using ferrule winders.
These mesh post extenders are designed to be compatible with First Fence 60 x 60mm box section fence posts (max wall of 2mm). These may be suitable for retro-fitting in other 60 x 60mm box section posts with a maximum wall of 2mm, but they may require some modification, and compatibility cannot be guaranteed.
