Chain link fencing is a strong, cost-effective, and versatile fencing solution designed for a wide range of applications. Made from galvanised steel wire and PVC-coated, it provides long-lasting protection and resistance to rust, corrosion, and harsh weather conditions.
The interwoven diamond pattern ensures durability while maintaining visibility and airflow, making it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial properties. Chain link is also known as diamond fencing, hurricane fencing, chain fence and wire mesh fencing.
Chain link fencing is designed for quick and easy installation. It can be installed using metal posts and tension wire for added stability. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast or hiring a professional, installation is straightforward, requiring minimal tools and expertise.
Available within the product range are chain link rolls in a choice of 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.4 and 2.75m. Each roll is a 25m length for 0.9 - 1.8m heights, and 12.5m long for 2.4 and 2.75m heights, and comes with line wire; use our handy calculator to work out just what you need for your project.
Concrete posts for chain link fencing are designed to be durable and strong against harsh weather. They’re also sturdy and easy to see, making them a safe choice for many outdoor environments where health and safety are a priority.
The chain link fencing itself is made from galvanised steel, which is rust and corrosion resistant. With the concrete posts, there is little maintenance needed for this type of security fencing. Concrete chain link fence posts are also simple to install; simply dig in and secure with Post Mix.
Made from galvanised steel, these posts are built to last. The finish is rust and corrosion-resistant, and you can choose a PVC finish in Green or Black.
The range includes End Strainer Posts, Corner Strainer Posts, Intermediate Posts, and Two-Way Strainer Posts. Find out more about each type below.
End Strainer Posts
Designed to give superb strength and stability at the beginning and end of your system. Made from hot dip galvanised 50 x 50mm Rolled Steel Angle, each comes with 40 x 40mm struts to suit the chosen height. Also available as a concrete format.
Specifically designed for areas where the fence changes direction. These posts absorb and distribute tension to prevent the fence from sagging.
These posts are used on a run that exceeds 69m, effectively distributing from both directions, keeping the fence taut and stable. Use these no more than 30m apart on straight runs.
These posts are placed along a run between end or corner posts and at 3.0m intervals.
Hog Ring Clips are important fasteners that are used to securely attach chain link fencing rolls to the posts and wires.
Designed to work with the hog ring clips, our Hog Ring Clip Gun allows automatic feeding of the clips for efficiency.
This is a dig-in system and requires two bags of Post Mix per steel post. The concrete posts also require dig-in and setting with our Post Mix to keep them in place.
With its durability, affordability, and versatility, chain link fencing is an excellent solution for anyone looking for a practical and long-lasting barrier. Whether for security, containment, or property boundary marking, this fencing option meets a wide range of needs efficiently.
