Features and Benefits
868 mesh is created from a tight double wired mesh construction which is extremely difficult to cut through with standard tools. The mesh consists of a 6mm vertical wire pressed between a horizontal 8mm wire, there are also additional wire ends positioned at the top making climbing the gate difficult in taller height gates.
Wire mesh systems are commonly used around school perimeters and sports grounds as they provide good visibility, they are robust and aesthetically pleasing on the eye so are perfect for public areas. Used primarily for low to medium security needs they look slightly intimidating and are certainly difficult to climb as the tight mesh doesn't allow intruders to obtain an adequate grip with their hands or feet
The gate comes pre-galvanised, however we offer a polyester powder coating service with many different RAL colours, which will give the gate a more attractive appearance whilst also protecting against the weather and vandalism. Please note if you have requested a less commonly used colour there will be a longer lead time.
The 1.2m x 3.0m gate can be positioned to allow access for vehicles such as small cars and forklifts, they should be incorporated into twin mesh fencing systems of the appropriate height.
When the gate is closed it's locked in place by sliding the latch bolt and drop bolt into position, the gate is then opened as a single leaf and will open to a total of 180°. A heavy duty padlock can be added for additional security, these are available as separate purchases.
868 Mesh gates can be fitted into most ground types, Bolt Down Posts are best for hard ground and Dig-In Posts are best for soft grounds.

Please Note: When attaching your gate to our mesh fencing, additional M8 x 40mm bolts and mesh fencing clips will be required.
