Manual Raise Arm Barriers are used to control access in and out of car parks and entrance ways and are very recognisable, you will have certainly seen them in a large variety of settings. They are viewed as a very easy and cost-effective way of protecting a point of access. When you need to restrict access to an area, they are an ideal choice, they are versatile and quick and easy to install.
Manual barriers often come with counterbalanced ‘fishtails’ however these barriers come with gas assisted dampers which make them easy to operate enabling consistent use through the day and without excessive amounts of effort by the user. The barrier has a smooth, controlled operation and the two gas struts offer stability and security.
This barrier is easier to install and operate than traditional manual barriers, one engineer can, with relative ease, install this on their own. This will significantly reduce installation costs as it would normally be a two-person job, therefore saving you time and money. The barrier comes ready assembled “Plug & Play” and ready to bolt down. Ensure your foundations are level and in line then simply fit and secure the pole, test and leave the site.
Its ergonomic grip handles are very tactile and make it a pleasure to use. Opening or closing the barrier is a one-handed movement thanks to the assistance of the gas struts. It can be locked in the open and closed position and secured with a padlock which is provided, and operates smoothly as a one-person procedure. A bolt down lockable end rest is supplied with the kit, this can be replaced as an optional extra with an adjustable height collapsible pogo support. The pogo support is also known as an adjustable swinging beam support, it is attached to the end of the pole and acts as a support when the barrier is closed. The barrier is lockable via the main post in addition to the end rest.
This product is bolt-down and comes with the necessary fixing bolts, it is therefore recommended for installation on hard surfaces.
The barrier comes with polyester powder coating in red as standard (red and white pole), it is also available in yellow as a non-standard colour (with yellow and black pole) at an additional cost.
