SPL Spring Steel L Post
This spring steel 'L' shaped post is a heavy duty post of 20mm thick and 100mm wide and is capable of withstanding slight impacts from HGVs. They are base plated by two ground anchor bolts, and are designed to prevent HGVs from damaging property in areas where industrial vehicles are manoeuvring and parking. The base plates are used to spread the impact of the load over a wider surface area therefor avoiding damage to the substrate.
Our SPLMG posts have a foot print of 300mm in the parking bay. The overall parking length is reduced by the total of 400mm. Whereas the SPLHG has a footprint of 450mm.
The SPLMG and SPLHG posts can be used with our standard rails and the Open Box Beams. When the spring post system is used the deflection on impact is typically 100 - 150mm. The force absorbed is 38kN approximately, this puts less stress on the anchor bolts which means less damage to the rail and saving on repairs and maintenance.
Armco barriers are a good safety measure to have in place in areas that have a high volume of moving traffic. They provide protection for buildings, pedestrians, and keep damage to the vehicle to a minimum.

- These posts and barriers will rebound from impacts of vehicles weighing approximately 1.5 tonnes at speeds up to 10MPH.
