Inner Leaf Width | 100mm |
Outer Leaf Width | 120mm |
Material | Galvanised Steel |
The S/K-110 (Wide Outer Leaf) standard load cavity wall lintel is suitable for cavity widths between 110 and 125mm. This type of lintel is ideal for use with blockwork or stonework, featuring a wider outer leaf to support blocks with wider profiles than standard brick work. This outer leaf is 120mm wide and can support a load with an overhang of up to an extra 30mm.
The S/K-110 WOL lintels are available in 150mm increments starting from 750mm up to 3600mm to support your walls over a variety of different sized gaps.
Please note: The lintels width must ensure a 150mm minimum end bearing at each end, for example if there is a gap of 1800mm, you would need to add at least 300mm to the length of the lintel required.
This range of lintels has been made from high quality pre-galvanised mild steel and each S/K-110 WOL lintel satisfies the thermal performance requirements of England and Wales’ Part L of the building regulations , Northern Ireland’s part F and Scotland’s technical handbook, section 6.
These lintels will need to be correctly installed in order for them to achieve the loading figures in the table below.
The figures also take into account the different loading types which are common in the construction of traditional cavity walls. These figures have been acquired through testing in accordance with the requirements of standards BS 5977 Part 2: 1983 and BS EN 845-2:2003
Differential Total UDL kN 3:1 (up to 75% loading on the inner leaf)
Differential Total UDL kN 19:1 (up to 95% loading on the inner leaf)
Length (150mm increments) | Height (mm) | Steel Thickness (mm) | Total ULD kN 3:1 | Total ULD kN 19:1 |
750-1350 | 95 | 2.5 | 14 | 11 |
1500 - 1650 | 107 | 2.5 | 15 | 13 |
1800 - 2100 | 142 | 2.5 | 23 | 18 |
2250 - 2700 | 185 | 2.9 | 30 | 22 |
2850 - 3000 | 185 | 3.2 | 32 | 30 |
3150 - 3600 | 185 | 3.2 | 30 | 26 |
