Building projects often require employees to work at higher levels and this brings many issues to consider. The health and safety of onsite staff will be a main concern.

A worker labouring at ground level will need to be safeguarded from the work taking place above, however the worker at a higher level will be at risk of a fatal fall. Building debris or tools may fall and cause injury, so this also needs to be taken into consideration. An edge protection barrier system is a good way to address these issues.

The installation posts are integral to these barrier systems. This Side Installation Post measures 1300mm in height with a 40x40mm box section and is made from galvanised steel with Polyester Powder Coating in RAL 5015. The galvanising and powder coating both give a layer of protection from damage or corrosion.

The base plate is attached to a smaller post that is at a 90-degree angle to the main post (this is welded crosswise to the post). This post can be fixed to the side of the construction area edge, rather than straight down into the concrete floor.

These posts have an easy lock system for connecting to the Edge Protector panels. The lock goes in between the wire spacing of the panel and is then locked into place, once locked it will not move until you unlock it again. The barrier formed by these items will create a secure system that gives a feeling of containment and security.

Installation Posts are light weight so are easy to transport to where they are needed. They do not require specialist skills to install. The baseplates have 15x20mm slots and will require bolts as these are not supplied with the post.
