Corrugated Galvanised Steel Sheeting 2.4m x 10/3

Often called ‘tin roofing’, these corrugated metal sheets are a widely used material in construction, agricultural, industrial, and commercial sectors. These are often used as temporary roofing or temporary roof covers for structures such as scaffolding due to their sturdy and lightweight design.

Each sheet of this corrugated sheet metal has been made from high quality galvanised steel and is supplied sheets which are 762mm wide, 2.4m long, with an average thickness of 0.6mm (0.55 – 0.65mm) also known as 24 gauge. The 10/3 refers to the profile of each sheet which has 10 ‘rolls’ which are spaced 3 inches apart (from the top of one roll to the top of the next).

The grooved surface which makes up these corrugated steel roofing sheets gives them a high strength whilst keeping the overall weight to a minimum. The grooves in these sheets also provides channels allowing water to run off during bad weather.

The galvanised finish of each of these corrugated metal sheets helps to increase the life span of each panel. The zinc coating provides a protective layer against rust and corrosion. This greatly reducing the need to replace sections of the roof due to poor weather conditions.

These metal corrugated roofing sheets are also known as CI Sheets (corrugated iron), wriggly tin, wrinkly tin, corry tin, sinusoidal profile, tin hat roofing, roof cladding, sometimes known as corrugated iron although they are no longer made of iron or tin.

Key Features:

  • Strength and durability – Each of these corrugated steel roofing sheets has been made to withstand exposure to the elements for extended periods of time. Their robust corrugated construction ensures a longer lifespan compared to traditional roofing and cladding materials
  • Easy to install – with a lightweight construction and standard dimensions of 762mm wide and 2.4m length, it is easy to plan out and install a roof to your structure. Each of these sheets are easy to cut and fix in place.
  • Cost effective – Galvanised steel, if properly maintained, has an incredibly long life span, which provides a very effective and low cost roof to your structure.
  • Suitable for a range of applications – These galvanised corrugated roofing sheets don’t just need to be used as ‘tin roofs’ they are also commonly used for scaffold sheeting, cladding, agricultural structures (such as chicken coops, barns and sheds) and commercial building works.
