The prestigious LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) certification scrupulously assesses the resilience of physical security gates and fencing against hostile and unauthorised access attempts. It carefully evaluates the equipment's ability to endure forced entry, subjecting it to a variety of tools such as bolt cutters, pliers, and screwdrivers. Additionally, it gauges the attackers' persistence, measuring how long they are willing to invest in their breach attempt. With its coveted SR1 (A1) rating, this mesh offers resistance against a sustained sixty-second attack with Toolkit A. Those sixty seconds could be vital in enabling a security team to spot an attack and be able to respond before the attacker breaks the boundary.
The ProFence® range by First Fence offers fence kits in both 358 Prison Mesh and 868 Twin Mesh, available in a range of heights. In addition to these products, single and double gates are also available, which have been designed to complement the ProFence® fencing system. The 1.8m x 5.0m Wide ProFence® 868 Mesh Single Gate Leaf Kit is a full security solution. It includes a sliding gate leaf, catch and hinge post, three gate eyes, and Ribbed Inserts for the posts and gate frame.
Manufactured from high quality steel which is a supremely strong gate material, that has been pre galvanised, meeting the ISO 1461 standard. The gates have then been polyester powder coated, this gate is made for permanent outdoor use and can withstand the harsh effects of the weather and temperature changes. This design ensures considerable defence against rust, corrosion, and general wear-and-tear damage, guaranteeing long-lasting stability.
The ProFence® 868 Mesh gate's mesh fill is the very characteristic 868 Twin Mesh, with 6mm vertical wires crossing over 8mm horizontal wires. This mesh arrangement offers outstanding visibility while effectively stopping the passage of any stolen items or individuals.
Safety is foremost, with the inclusion of three gate eyes, ensuring that even if one hinge point fails, the gate will remain secure and not drop, preventing serious injury or damage. Each gate eye is secured with a shear nut, which renders it tamper-proof once fastened in place.
For added security, the gate can be securely locked in the closed position using the sliding latch bolt. The kit also includes a drop bolt which will hold the gate in the open position, this features an M5x20mm one-way pan head bolt and M5 shear nut to prevent unauthorised removal.
Installation Made Easy
The ProFence® gate offers flexibility in installation, available in either a dig-in or bolt-down format. It's essential to assess your ground conditions before making your choice. The bolt-down option comes with four ground anchor bolts for each post, while the dig-in post option requires Post Mix, available as an additional purchase. For a 1.8m high gate, it is recommended to use three bags of Post Mix per post, ensuring a solid foundation.
It is highly recommended that you use either C20 or C25 post mix. A range of approved Secure By Design (SBD) padlocks is available.
