Understanding A1 (SR1) Rated Security Fencing
Profence®, our security-rated fencing, is an economically efficient and exceptionally robust security mesh system certified under the stringent LPS 1175 A1 (SR1) standards. This esteemed certification guarantees a one-minute delay against opportunistic attacks employing Category A tools, which encompass pliers, glass cutters, spanners, bolt cutters, pliers and engineer's hooks.
The SR1 (A1) ratings and LPS 1175 compliance set the standard for thwarting determined, opportunistic attempts at forced entry into facilities safeguarding high-value assets. This invaluable one-minute delay provides on-site security teams with a critical opportunity to intercept intruders before they breach the security perimeter.
LPS 1175 certification serves as a robust assessment for determining the resistance of physical security products against unauthorised access attempts. The certification evaluates the ability of security equipment to sustain forced entry, taking into account the tools used and the duration that attackers invest in their attempts at a breach. SR1 (A1) rating certifies resistance to a sixty-second attack with Toolkit A.

The Profence® security-rated Corner Post Kit comprises essential components, including a corner post, clamp bars, M8x90mm through bolts and nuts, U Clips, and black ribbed inserts tailored for the open box section ends.
Constructed from pre-galvanised steel, compliant to BS EN 10346 and polyester powder-coated in a choice of RAL colours including green or black, it boasts superior resistance to rust and corrosion, ensuring its durability for outdoor use.
The corner post can be installed with either a 270° external corner or a 90° internal corner mesh panel fixing, providing versatility in your setup. This kit is available in both dig-in and bolt-down variations, catering to different ground conditions.
ProFence® is certified for gradients from 0 to 25 degrees.
Installation
The installation process for this corner post kit aligns with standard mesh posts. For softer ground, concrete it in place, while harder ground benefits from the bolt-down method (ground anchors are included with the bolt-down option, Post Mix is available to add to your order, we recommend three bags per 3.0m post). It is highly recommended that you use either C20 or C25 post mix.
The U Clip is positioned over the hole in the post, with the panel and clamp bar placed over it. The long M8x90mm bolt then passes through all components and is securely fastened to the back of the post with a shear nut.
