The PaliFence® LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) Palisade Security Fencing Kit from First Fence is the latest addition to the high-security products available and has been designed to meet a wide range of higher-defence boundary control needs. The PaliFence® system holds an SR1 (A1) rating compliant with LPS 1175 standards, which offers an elevated degree of security when compared to a more traditional, untested type of palisade fencing. The PaliFence® system comes in a loose kit form and is easily assembled on site. It is compatible with most ground types due to the dig-in and bolt-down formats, making it a very versatile system.
The PaliFence® palisade fencing, certified under the rigorous LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) standards, ensures a sixty-second delay against an opportunistic assault employing tools from the Category A Tool Kit. The testing criteria employ a specific set of hand tools that simulates the easily concealable items a criminal might carry for a break-in opportunity. The testing aims to assess the security product's resilience against attempted attacks using commonly used burglary tools, adhere to strict criteria to attain the security rating, and demonstrate its effectiveness as a deterrent. The one-minute delay it provides could be invaluable for an on-site security team in preventing a perimeter breach.
Manufactured from high-quality pre-galvanised steel that complies with BS EN 10346 standards, this system is engineered to provide strength and durability. The galvanisation process ensures substantial protection against rust and corrosion, which is particularly crucial for a product intended for permanent outdoor installation and use, especially in the capacity of a security barrier. Moreover, the system offers the flexibility of polyester powder coating in a wide range of RAL colours, further enhancing its protective qualities. This coating not only delivers an enhanced level of defence but also imparts a refined, high-quality finish, enabling seamless integration with its surroundings or an existing scheme. All powder coatings adhere to BS EN 13438 standards.
Delivered in kit form, the PaliFence® SR1 (A1) security-rated system comprises 19 palisade pales, 3 cross rails, and a steel IPE post. Unlike the standard palisade bay with 17 pales, the inclusion of 2 additional pales reduces the spacing between centres (135mm from pale centre to pale centre). This design heightens the difficulty for potential attackers, as a greater number of pales must be removed to create a large enough opening. The heightened effort acts as a deterrent, discouraging individuals from attempting unauthorised access.
This security-rated palisade fencing, specifically engineered for enhanced security, features three cross rails situated at the top, bottom, and middle. This configuration successfully reduces bending in the event of an attack. Additionally, the bottom rail is strategically positioned at a low height, ensuring that even if someone succeeds in breaching it, the space underneath remains too restricted for a body to pass through.
The fasteners for this security system undergo galvanisation and patch treatment, featuring anti-vibration technology to deter unauthorised removal of nuts and bolts in the event of an attack.
The PaliFence® LPS 1175 SR1 (A1) Palisade Security Fencing Kit is offered in either a bolt-down or dig-in format, making it compatible with various ground types. However, it is essential to conduct a thorough assessment before making your purchase. The bolt-down format includes the required SR1-tested ground anchor bolts, while the dig-in format necessitates a minimum concrete foundation measuring 750 x 300 x 300mm with C20/25 grade concrete. Post Mix can be added to your purchase, and we recommend 3 bags per post.
When correctly installed, this fencing has a 50mm ground clearance. This system accommodates sloping ground with ease, offering versatility for different terrains. PaliFence® is certified for gradients from 0 to 30°.
