Open Box Fishplate
The open box beam fishplates have been created to provide a secure joint between two open box beams.
To create a secure join between two beams, two of these fish plates are required along with 12 lap bolts (6 lap bolts per fishplate). The plates slide inside of the beam, to then be secured with the bolts to create a strong and robust connection which will be able to withstand vehicular impacts.
Each plate, much like the open box beams themselves, has been constructed from galvanised steel. The protective coated provided by the zinc means that the metal is protected against the effects of weathering and rust, allowing the steel to keep its silver finish for longer.
