The Mudstopper Mat is an original product that efficiently removes mud and other deposits from vehicle tyres. They can be used to form an instant construction surface over most types of surface including asphalt, tarmac, turf, sand and mud and even or uneven terrain.
This ground protection mat protects the ground when high volumes of vehicle traffic pass through, particularly entrances to areas under construction. With repeated traffic in an area the ground may get deeply rutted and be difficult to get across, also, vehicles leaving the site may deposit mud and other sediment onto highways which will pose skid risk to other road users, not to mention making a mess! The Mudstopper will also create a recognisable entrance for vehicles to see in the day or by night.
The Mudstopper Mat works by a series of pyramid shapes on the surface of the mat. These deform the vehicle tyre passing over it, spreading the tyre tread apart and depositing the residue onto the mat. The pyramids scrape, clean and wipe debris from the tyres. The pyramids each have a crush rating of over 9 tonnes.
These ground cover mats are easily transported to the construction site on a large truck and offloaded with a forklift or similar onto the soil. No excavation is necessary. Once in place, soil anchors can be installed through the mat to hold them in place. It is recommended to use at least two anchors per mat. A run of at least 7 mats is recommended for stability.
A pressure washer can be used to clean the mat of mud and debris.
