Wheel Stops can be used in all sorts of areas where vehicles need to park, they help guide a driver to align their vehicle safely and accurately. They can protect vehicles from high kerbs and assist in parking in the appropriate position, or to prevent a vehicle from overhanging an access path.
They are extensively used in warehouse lorry bays where it is necessary to control the parking of these large vehicles to ensure there are no collisions with perimeter walls, fencing or bay doors. They also ensure the end user adopts a reverse-only parking policy.
These HGV Wheel Stops are manufactured in the UK from recycled truck tyres and have a moulded-in high visibility strip for pedestrian and driver visibility in low light levels. These Wheel Stops are very hard-wearing and remove the need to replace or repaint a traditional steel format.
Each Wheel Stop measures 1000mm in length and 300mm in width. Its height is 150mm and comes with 5 Floor Anchors and a reflective yellow flash for visibility. The fixings are suitable for both concrete and tarmac, to install you simply drill a hole for the fixing anchors which fit through the wheel stop and are secured to the ground firmly. These are for permanent installation.
This product's design is aligned with relevant associated British standards and building regulations, see the data sheet for full details.
