The 1.2m High EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railing kits have been designed to be an environmentally friendly and cost-effective railing system which is suitable for installation in a variety of public and private outdoor locations. The stylish bow top design is not only a stylish design, but also allows these railings to appear more non-threatening, whilst still remaining incredibly strong and sturdy. These bays of EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railings have all been made to our incredibly high standards from quality steel and finished with a Professionally applied Polyester Powder Coated finish. These railing kits include a panel, post and the fixings required to attach the panel to the post.
From a visual perspective, the EnviroRail® Bow Top Railings look incredibly similar to a standard bay of bow top railings, however the kay difference lies in how the EnviroRail® railing bays are made. With standard steel bow top railings, welding is commonly used to create joins between the individual components, which can be a very resource and energy intensive process. The EnviroRail® Bow Top Railing systems use a revolutionary and environmentally form of manufacture which reduces the amount of welding required.
The reduced weld construction uses a series of custom formed and laser cut components which when pressed together creates an incredibly strong bond. This process requires less materials and energy usage than welding, and whilst there is still some welding required to complete a bay, it is considerably less.
Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of pre-galvanised steel hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.
To allow these railings to be installed in as many locations as possible, they are supplied with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – Dig in posts are designed to allow these railings to be installed in areas where the ground is soft enough for holes to be dug and filled with post mix to hold the post securely in place.
Bolt down posts – The Bolt down posts allow for installation on ground types which may be too hard for holes to be dug easily such as areas surfaced with concrete. This type of post features a base plate which allows them to be secured in place with the use of ground anchor bolts
Each of the 1.2m high EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railing kits includes the following items:
With each kit containing one post, an additional end post will be required in order to complete a line or railings.
Each of the 1.2m High EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railings, as standard, are finished with a high quality and professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These are available in a huge range of RAL colours, allowing you to create some fantastic looking railing perimeters. The PPC coatings also create a protective barrier which helps to prevent the formation of rust and corrosion on the steel.
If, in the unfortunate event of the Polyester Powder Coatings becoming damaged, either by accident or through acts of vandalism, it is possible to restore these coatings and the protection they provide, with the use of touch up spray cans
Step One: Drill a 6mm pilot hole in the desired location for the new cleat; this is dictated by the gradient.
Step Two: Open the hole to a 12mm hole size to take the M10 bolts (as listed in the step below).
Step Three: Touch up and spray the hole, if required.
Step Four: Attach the cleat using the M10 x 70mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (for 0.9m to 1.2m height system) or M10 x 80mm Square Cup Head Bolt and Shear Nut (1.5m to 2.4m height systems).
Step Five: Attach the railing panel as per standard installation guidance.
Note: Please ensure the spacing relationships are followed according to the existing hole centres on the posts.
As well as these 1.2m High EnviroRail® Standard Bow Top Railings, there are a range of other heights available. Should you require a different style of railing, there are also EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Round Railings or EnviroRail® Play Sec Bow Top Railings which provides a safe and child friendly railing alternative for use in playgrounds.
