Upon initial inspection, the EnviroRail® Flat Top Railing Gate may seem like a standard product, yet its distinctive feature lies in its eco conscious production method. The EnviroRail® system adopts a low-weld approach, employing custom-made, laser-cut pre-galvanised elements that securely interlock during assembly, significantly reducing the need for energy-intensive welding processes. Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

Standing at a modest 1.2 metres in height and spanning 3 metres in width, the EnviroRail® Flat Top Double Leaf Gate presents a versatile solution for property entrances. This configuration proves particularly well-suited to urban settings where a towering presence might be unnecessary or aesthetically undesirable. Additionally, its dimensions make it ideal for pedestrian access points or locations where a full-height gate is not required.

The inherent advantage of a double leaf design lies in its enhanced flexibility compared to single leaf counterparts. This grants you the option to open either one or both leaves, affording complete control over the level of access provided. Whether you seek a fully open entryway or a partially restricted passage, this gate empowers you to adapt its function to your specific needs.

Built from pre-galvanised steel that conforms to BS 10346 standards, and then polyester powder coated, the gates have a double layer of protection making them resilient to outdoor exposure and wear and tear and when properly installed should give many years of dependable use.

EnviroRail® Gates are a fully modular, ultra-lightweight system for a range of hardware that has quick and easy installation. They are universally handed, so any leaf can be the primary leaf, which removes the need for fixed left or right-hand specifications. This gives great flexibility on-site and streamlines decision-making during fitting. The modular functionality gives more adjustability, accommodating any gate movement, a feature that is lacking in traditional, fixed gate hardware.

The gate kit comes with two EnviroRail® gate leaves, two hinge posts and six adjustable gate eyes, meeting BS 12604 safety guidelines to ensure stability even in the unlikely event of even a single hinge failing. Additionally, the gate hooks are fully welded to the gate post, giving fixed axis hinges that eradicate vertical movement.

Each gate is comes with pre-drilled holes, making the attaching of the adjustable gate eyes and a drop bolt very swift. Plastic hole plugs are included in the kit to cover any unused holes on the attack face, preventing water accumulation inside the structure and enhancing the gate's overall appearance. A locking drop bolt is available as an add-on purchase and is highly recommended for the double leaf format.

Designed for versatility, the EnviroRail® Flat Top Gate Kit is available in an extensive choice of heights and widths meaning we have the perfect gate for your needs. The gate kits come in dig-in and bolt-down versions, suitable for installation in diverse locations. The dig-in variant suits softer ground types and requires Post Mix for secure installation, while the bolt-down option is ideal for harder ground surfaces, secured using four M16 x 125mm anchor bolts per post.

When correctly installed, the gate allows up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, with a 50mm ground clearance.

Finishing touches

The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.
The modularity of this gate range makes it compatible with our range of security locks, also available from First Fence. An anti-climb Locking Plate can be added for enhanced security, along with a heavy-duty padlock.
