Presenting the latest addition to our product line-up, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate, designed to seamlessly integrate with the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing range. This environmentally mindful gate aims to help create secure perimeters around parks and playing fields, placing a primary emphasis on ensuring the safety of children while simultaneously elevating the aesthetic appeal of the surroundings.

When selecting equipment for recreational areas, thorough consideration is essential. The product's height should adequately discourage climbing or passage by children, and the vertical railings must be closely positioned to eliminate any potential risk of a child's head getting trapped while ensuring unobstructed visibility. Smooth surfaces are imperative to prevent cuts or abrasions, and the product should be devoid of sharp edges or protruding elements that could pose injury risks. Additionally, durability, weather resistance, and low-maintenance characteristics are vital for withstanding outdoor conditions while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Utilising a forward-thinking and environmentally aware method, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate mitigates its ecological footprint in the production phase through the application of a low-weld technique. Durable connections are achieved by pressing together custom laser-cut components, diminishing the reliance on energy-intensive welding and yielding pressed bonds of comparable strength to their welded counterparts.

Each EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is fabricated from pre-galvanised steel, meeting BS 10346 standards, and then given a polyester powder coating, ensuring durability and resistance to challenging outdoor conditions. This dual-layer protection not only guarantees reliable functionality but also preserves its aesthetic appeal over an extended period. A vibrant range of RAL colours is available to personalise your gate's finish.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

The EnviroRail® gate series offers complete modularity and a lightweight system, enabling rapid installation and accommodating various gate hardware. Universally handed, these gates provide on-site flexibility without specific right or left-hand specifications, streamlining the decision-making process during installation. This modular functionality ensures adjustability in case the gates move, something that fixed hardware cannot do.

The single-leaf gate kit includes a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. Compliance with BS 12604 standards is ensured by three hinges, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of one hinge failing. The gate hooks, fully welded to the gate post, establish a fixed-axis hinge, eliminating any potential vertical movement.

Pre-drilled holes facilitate the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, with plastic plugs included to cover unused holes on the gate's attack face. Compatible with security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, ensuring a straightforward installation process. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Safety Compliance

The spacing of the rails at 100mm intervals is designed to eliminate the risk of entrapment, while the top bows are 90mm to prevent potential hazards to the wrists or neck. The design and production of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate adhere to the regulations outlined in BS EN 1176.

The gate offers 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening 90° in and out as a single leaf gate.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix needs to be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
