Introducing the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate – a recent addition particularly designed to integrate with the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing range, providing an eco-friendly solution for establishing secure boundaries around parks and playing fields. Crafted with a specific focus on ensuring children's safety, this railing collection enhances the overall visual appeal of the surroundings.

When selecting items for recreational spaces, careful consideration is crucial. The product's height should be adequate to discourage climbing or passage by children. Vertical railings must be closely positioned to prevent a child's head from becoming trapped while maintaining clear visibility. Surfaces should be smooth to prevent cuts or abrasions, and the product should lack sharp edges or protruding parts that could pose a risk of injury. Additionally, the product's durability, weather resistance, and low-maintenance features are vital for enduring outdoor conditions while adhering to safety standards.

Employing an innovative and environmentally conscious approach, the EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate distinguishes itself with a reduced ecological impact during the production phase. Utilising custom laser-cut components pressed together to form robust connections, this method minimises the need for energy-intensive welding, resulting in pressed bonds that are as sturdy as their welded counterparts.

Each EnviroRail® Play Sec Gate Kit is crafted from pre-galvanised steel, meeting BS 10346 standards and then coated with polyester powder, ensuring durability and resistance to challenging outdoor conditions. This dual-layer protection not only guarantees reliable functionality but also preserves its aesthetic appeal over an extended period. A range of RAL colours are available to choose from to give your gate a bright and lively finish.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

The EnviroRail® gate series offers complete modularity and a lightweight system, facilitating swift installation and accommodating various gate hardware components. Universally designed, these gates provide on-site flexibility without specific right or left-hand specifications, simplifying the decision-making process during installation. This modular functionality allows easy adjustments, providing adaptability that fixed hardware cannot offer.

The single leaf gate kit comprises a hinge and catch post, a Play Sec Railing leaf, and three adjustable gate eyes. Compliance with BS 12604 standards is ensured by three hinges, ensuring safety even in the unlikely event of one hinge failing. The gate hooks, fully welded to the gate post, establish a fixed-axis hinge, eliminating any potential vertical movement.

Pre-drilled holes enable the attachment of gate eyes and a drop bolt, with plastic plugs included to cover unused holes on the gate's attack face. Compatible with security locks, the gate allows for up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post, ensuring a straightforward installation process. The UniSlide Slider Single Gate Kit comes included with all EnviroRail single gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.

Safety Compliance

Rails are set at 100mm centres to prevent entrapment, and top bows are 90mm to prevent wrist or neck traps. The design and manufacture of the EnviroRail® Play Sec Railing Gate comply with BS EN 1176 regulations.

The gate offers 50mm ground clearance when correctly installed, opening 90° in and out as a single leaf gate.

Available in various heights and widths, these gates come in dig-in or bolt-down versions, suitable for diverse environments. For the dig-in variant, Post Mix needs to be added to the order, and the bolt-down version requires four M16 x 125mm ground anchor bolts per post.
