The EnviroRail® Vertical Bar Double Leaf Gate Kit, measuring 1.0m high x 2.0m wide, is one of the narrower gates in the range and is suited to the smaller space. A double leaf gate will always offer greater flexibility than a single in terms of access control as users can choose to have one or both leaves in open or closed positions, allowing for customised access restriction.

While this vertical bar gate style may appear similar to a conventional product at first glance, its special feature lies in its environmentally sensitive manufacturing approach. It applies unconventional low-weld techniques to custom-made, laser-cut pre-galvanised components, establishing robust joins without high resource and energy-intensive welding requirements. If reducing environmental ramifications is a priority, this could be the ideal choice for you.

Each EnviroRail® kit is comprised of hollow tubular sections. These hollow tubes provide an incredibly high level of strength whilst helping to keep the weight to a minimum, making handling, transport and installation much easier.

First Fence's EnviroRail® Double Gates offer a fully modular, yet comparatively lightweight gate solution, ensuring quick installation to meet diverse hardware needs. Universally handed, they provide excellent on-site flexibility without fixed left or right-hand specifications, allowing adjustments if the gates move – an advantage that fixed hardware lacks.

Each gate in the kit arrives pre-drilled with holes, simplifying the attachment of the six adjustable gate eye hinges and a locking drop bolt. Plastic hole plugs are included to conceal any unused openings on the attack face, and a locking drop bolt is available as an optional addition, highly recommended for double leaf gate security. The kit includes two EnviroRail® gate leaves, two gate posts, and six adjustable gate eyes (three for each gate leaf), adhering to BS 12604 safety guidelines for gate stability, even if one hinge fails. This is crucial for preventing injury to people and property damage. Moreover, the gate hooks are securely welded to the gate post giving a fixed-axis hinge that eliminates any vertical movement.

Available in various heights and widths, the gate kits come in both dig-in and bolt-down versions, catering to installation needs in diverse locations. The dig-in variant suits softer terrain, requiring Post Mix for secure installation, while the bolt-down option is ideal for harder ground surfaces, secured using four M16 x 125mm anchor bolts per post.

Compatible with our security locks, this gate kit allows up to 30mm of adjustment from the catch post when installed correctly, with the gates having 50mm ground clearance. The UniSlide Slider Double Kit comes included with all EnviroRail double gates, ensuring a secure and smooth sliding mechanism for reliable operation.
